Brock Bowers is expected to miss the Raiders’ season opener after undergoing a procedure on his knee, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday. The reported recovery window is one or two games.

According to the report, Bowers had a meniscus trim Tuesday in Dallas. The injury occurred during training camp but was diagnosed last week. Las Vegas hosts Miami on Sunday, so the immediate question is how the Raiders distribute their passing work without their leading tight end.

Bowers made an immediate impact as a rookie in 2024, catching 112 passes for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns. Knee trouble interrupted his second season, and the new procedure delays his start to 2026.
