Jesús Luzardo went the distance for his first career shutout: 9 innings, 2 hits, 1 walk, 12 strikeouts on 109 pitches. He improved to 14-5. Kyle Schwarber went 2-for-4 and hit a solo homer to right-center in the eighth for the game's only run.
Grant Holmes kept Atlanta close through six scoreless innings (6.0 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 6 K). Didier Fuentes took the loss (5-2) after allowing Schwarber's homer in two innings of relief.
